Description
ZOOM H5Studio 4-Track Handy Recorder with 32-Bit Float Recording (Brand New)
Kenyan filmmakers, podcasters, and audio professionals seeking studio-grade recording in a portable package will find the ultimate tool in the ZOOM H5studio. This 4-track handy recorder combines 32-bit float technology with F-series preamps and the largest microphones ever on a Handy Recorder. Consequently, it has become a top choice for professional audio production across Kenya. ^CA
Studio-Grade Preamps and Unmatched Clarity
The H5studio features ZOOM’s F-series preamps, delivering an exceptional -127 dBu EIN for unmatched clarity. With dual AD converters and 32-bit float recording, the recorder achieves an impressive 132 dB dynamic range. Therefore, you can capture everything from the softest whisper to the loudest concert without noise or distortion. Additionally, dedicated gain knobs are back, giving you the best of both worlds: the clipping protection of 32-bit float and the convenience of traditional gain control.
Large-Diameter Microphones with 140 dB SPL
The H5studio boasts the largest microphones ever mounted on a Handy Recorder, measuring 19.4mm. These microphones capture audio with incredible frequency response, a maximum SPL of 140 dB, and an expansive dynamic range. For this reason, you can record loud drums, live concerts, or environmental sounds with remarkable depth and fidelity. The X/Y stereo configuration also delivers natural, immersive stereo imaging.
Six Tracks and Professional Inputs
The recorder captures up to six tracks simultaneously, including four individual tracks plus a stereo mix, with sample rates up to 192 kHz. The two locking XLR/TRS combo inputs support +48V phantom power and +4dBu line level, while a 3.5mm stereo jack with plug-in power accommodates lavalier microphones. Moreover, the H5studio’s 3.0 capsule system allows you to swap microphone capsules for different recording scenarios.
Advanced Features and Accessibility
The H5studio includes advanced look-ahead limiters that anticipate overloads and prevent distortion before they reach your track. RF shielding keeps smartphone and Wi-Fi interference out of your recordings. The recorder also functions as a 4-in/2-out USB audio interface for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android, enabling live streaming while simultaneously recording a backup to microSD. Designed with accessibility in mind, the H5studio features audible menu navigation for blind and visually impaired creators.
Perfect for Kenyan Content Creators
This recorder is ideal for podcasters in Nairobi, documentary filmmakers in the Maasai Mara, and musicians recording in studios across Kenya. The compact design makes it easy to carry on location shoots, while the rugged construction withstands the demands of field recording.
