Description
Logitech H390 USB Headset with Noise-Canceling Mic (Brand New)
Logitech H390 USB Headset (981-000406) – Kenya’s Plug-and-Play Headset for Clear, Reliable Calls
Kenyan professionals, students, and remote workers know the frustration of fuzzy audio and messy cables. The Logitech H390 USB Headset (Part Number: 981-000406) offers a refreshingly simple answer. This wired, on-ear headset connects directly through USB, bypassing the sound card issues that sometimes plague 3.5mm jacks. As a result, it has become a dependable daily companion for video meetings, online classes, and everyday listening across Kenya. ^E
What Makes This Headset Stand Out?
The H390 is built around clarity and convenience. Fine-tuned 30mm audio drivers deliver enhanced digital audio for calls, music, and more. The noise-canceling microphone helps minimize unwanted background noise, so your voice comes through clearly during Zoom, Teams, or Skype sessions. The rigid left-side mic boom rotates and tucks away neatly when you are not speaking. In-line controls on the cable let you adjust volume or mute instantly without fumbling for on-screen buttons. Many Kenyan users will appreciate the visual mute indicator, which helps prevent embarrassing hot-mic moments.
Comfort and Build Quality
Logitech designed the H390 for extended wear. The adjustable headband features swivel-mounted, leatherette ear cushions that provide hours of comfort. The headset remains lightweight enough for long work sessions. The 1.9-metre cable gives you freedom to stand and stretch during lengthy calls. While the build is primarily plastic, it feels sturdy for everyday use. Some users note that the on-ear cushions can feel snug after many hours, and those who prefer over-ear designs may want to consider alternatives.
The USB Advantage for Kenyan Buyers
This is the H390’s strongest selling point in the Kenyan market. USB connectivity means true plug-and-play operation. You plug the USB-A connector into your laptop or desktop, and it works immediately on Windows or macOS without drivers or software. This eliminates the compatibility headaches that come with dual 3.5mm jacks. However, you should check your device ports. If your laptop only has USB-C ports, you will need a separate USB-C to USB-A adapter, which is not included. Also, the H390 is a stereo headset for calls and media, but it is not designed for immersive gaming or professional music production.
Honest Notes on Noise Cancellation
It is important to set realistic expectations. The H390’s microphone reduces background noise for clearer voice transmission, which is what matters most for calls. However, the ear cushions themselves do not actively block out ambient sound. Multiple user reviews clarify that this is not a noise-canceling headphone in the sense of blocking room noise for the wearer. If you need to silence a noisy office or a busy household while listening, this headset will not do that. For clear voice calls in reasonably quiet environments, it performs well.
