Description
Vention 3 PORTS USB 2.0 HUB 0.15M with LAN Black (Brand New)
Vention 3-Port USB 2.0 Hub with LAN (VEN CHPBB) – Kenya’s Compact Connectivity Expander
Kenyan laptop and desktop users often face a frustrating reality: modern devices keep getting thinner, yet the number of available ports keeps shrinking. Whether you are working from a Nairobi office, studying in a campus lab, or running a home setup in Mombasa, the Vention 3-Port USB 2.0 Hub with LAN offers a practical answer. This compact adapter (Part Number: VEN CHPBB) expands a single USB-A port into three additional USB ports while adding a wired Ethernet connection. As a result, you gain both peripheral flexibility and a more stable network option in one small package. ^E
What Makes This Hub Useful for Kenyan Users
The core appeal of the VEN CHPBB lies in its dual functionality. You get three USB 2.0 ports for connecting everyday devices like flash drives, keyboards, mice, or printers. Alongside those, an RJ45 Ethernet port supports 10/100 Mbps wired networking. Therefore, if your laptop lacks an Ethernet jack or your Wi-Fi feels unreliable during important video calls, this hub provides a straightforward wired alternative. The hub is plug-and-play for most operating systems, meaning you can connect it and start working without installing drivers.
Build Quality and Portability
Vention designed this hub with portability in mind. The integrated cable measures just 0.15 metres, keeping your setup tidy and making the hub easy to slip into a laptop bag. Construction uses ABS housing with TPE jacketing, while internal shielding combines aluminium foil and metal braiding to reduce interference. For Kenyan users who move between office desks, co-working spaces, and home workstations, this compact form factor proves genuinely convenient.
Practical Considerations Before You Buy
It is worth understanding what this hub is and is not. The USB ports operate on the USB 2.0 standard, offering transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps. This is perfectly adequate for peripherals like mice, keyboards, and standard flash drives. However, if you routinely transfer large video files or use high-speed external SSDs, a USB 3.0 hub would serve you better. Additionally, the Ethernet port supports 100 Mbps networking, not Gigabit speeds. For most home and office browsing, streaming, and video calls, this remains sufficient. The hub also includes a Micro-USB power input (5V/2A) to support power-hungry devices when needed.
